Maine & Company’s services are designed to assist out of state businesses looking to relocate to Maine and to help existing Maine businesses expand and grow.  Our services include real estate site searches, data collection and analysis, incentives identification and valuation, workforce analysis, site visit coordination, and financing coordination.  We act as a catalyst, connecting our clients with the right people and entities to help them succeed.  All of our services are free of charge.

We work with site location decision makers, corporate real estate professionals, entrepreneurs, and private business people looking for the information and data necessary to make corporate location decisions.  We help companies in all stages of growth, from start-up ventures to expansion.

Real Estate Site Searches.  After consulting with the client and determining relevant real estate needs, Maine & Company's staff searches a statewide database for appropriate properties, and connects with regional and local real estate leaders.  We then conduct a detailed review of potential sites, presenting only those properties that match the client’s criteria.

Data Collection and Analysis.  Maine & Company provides detailed and up-to-date information on incentives, labor, employment, energy, real estate, taxes, telecommunications, and wages.  Furthermore, our staff analyzes this data to compare multiple sites within Maine.

Incentives, Financing and Training Programs.  Maine & Company's staff assists companies in identifying and packaging all the relevant programs available for business expansion and relocation activities, and analyzes the short- and long-term value of these incentives.  Programs include state, regional, and local tax reimbursements, enterprise zones, tax credits, sales tax exemptions, training, and financing resources.

Site Visit Coordination.  On behalf of our clients, Maine & Company coordinates in-state site visits with local public and private sector representatives for the purpose of evaluating business location opportunities and addressing technical questions about doing business in Maine.

Financing Programs.  Maine & Company provides information on creative private funding sources and available State and Federal assistance programs to help successful existing companies grow to the next level.

Workforce Analysis.  Maine & Company believes that true workforce analysis comes from both quantitative and qualitative understanding.  Maine & Company works with economists and demographers to prepare and analyze workforce data, allowing companies and consultants to identify the best location for their next site.  Additionally, Maine & Company will introduce companies to local business leaders for an on-the-ground understanding of the hiring culture of the location under consideration.
