NotifyMD Selects Farmington, Maine as Site for
New Care Coordination Center
--New business will bring up to 120 jobs to central Maine--

FARMINGTON, Maine — NotifyMD, Inc., the leading provider of comprehensive messaging services to the physician practices industry, has selected Farmington, Maine for its new national Care Coordination Center after conducting a nationwide search.

Tennessee-based NotifyMD will occupy the 10,000 square-foot Abbott Hill Business Center, former site of MBNA/Bank of America financial services operations, located at 274 Front Street in Farmington. The company will add approximately 120 new jobs to the area when fully staffed, with an initial hiring of Care Coordinators and inside Sales Representatives to begin in early 2007. NotifyMD expects to be operational by March 1st, 2007.

Governor John E. Baldacci joined representatives from NotifyMD, Maine & Company, the Greater Franklin Development Corporation and the state Department of Economic and Community Development today to announce NotifyMD’s arrival in Maine. The announcement was made at the University of Maine at Farmington.

NotifyMD chose Maine after contacting Maine & Company to discuss expansion opportunities within the state. Maine & Company worked with its partners, the DECD and the Greater Franklin Development Corporation, to present Farmington as a viable expansion option for NotifyMD.  In addition to the state-of-the-art facility and tremendous workforce, Maine’s Pine Tree Development Zone program and other business assistance programs played a key role in the company’s decision making process.

Baldacci. “NotifyMD is a welcome addition to Maine and we appreciate the quality jobs that it is bringing to Farmington.”

NotifyMD Care Coordinators serve as the vital communication link between physicians and patients. NotifyMD provides after-hours messaging, business hour call management, automated patient-reminders and patient care compliance. NotifyMD’s patent-pending task management application, WebMessenger, allows physicians and staff to access their messages securely over the Internet using personal computers and wireless devices.
